Lead Slips/Drawing Forms

Getting Future Business!

Often when I hear about people doing parties and events, I ask them how many people entered their drawing or how they are doing on following up on their leads.   There is a brief silence and they say, “I don’t know what you are talking about.   I didn’t do a drawing.”  or “I don’t have any info on which to follow up.”

At parties and events, you want to turn the people who shop with you into LONG -TERM customers.  The way to do that is to keep in touch with them.  Do NOT expect them to keep your business card, hunt you down and keep in touch with you. The effort has to be YOURS.


At every party and event, you should have a drawing slip or some type of way to gather these customers’ information.   I hand every person who shops with me a mini clipboard with a pen and lead slips on it.  I say “While I bag your jewelry, go ahead and fill this out.  I am doing a drawing for FREE jewelry.” and I give them the clipboard.  I would say over 90% of the people I hand it to fill it out:)   I DON’T put it on a table and say “You can fill this out if you want to. You might win free jewelry.”  People don’t want to bend over.  They are less likely to fill it out if you give them an option not to do it.

When they are finished filing it out, they can put the slip in the drawing box.  I try to glance at it to see if they marked “YES” on hosting a party or wanting info about joining.  If they did, I will say “I noticed you marked “yes” on ….. I’m giving away a free piece of jewelry to anyone who books the party today….”  Or “I saw you wanted info about how you can make money with Paparazzi.  Let me quickly tell you some details and give you some info and then I can call you on …. Monday…. and we can talk more.”  At events, I have a clipboard at the front of my booth next to my drawing box and people fill it out just as they are walking by.  CAPTURE information.

You can also use a pink basket with the Sign, and beside you should put a Display with your Giveaway.

The most important thing is that you have SOMETHING!  If you want to purchase this box, add it on to your next order.  Don’t put in a special order just for this.
